Plant today. Harvest $1,200/kg in 8 years.

Stock markets crash. Currencies inflate. Farmland is finite. Aquilaria sinensis is the only agricultural investment where the end product — Grade AAA sinking-grade agarwood — has never declined in real price terms over the past 40 years. The plantation model is simple: plant verified cultivar seedlings, inoculate at Year 3–4, harvest Grade A and AAA material at Year 6–8. A professionally managed 1-hectare plot generates USD 24,000–33,000 gross revenue at the main harvest. That is not speculation. That is biology and market demand working together.

  • 6 verified cultivars — Watermelon Leaf (volume), Golden Sand (oil yield), Tiger Stripe No.2 (Grade AAA/Qinan proximity)
  • CITES export permits and phytosanitary certificates provided with every seedling shipment
  • Full plantation management manual included with 100+ plant orders — at no extra cost
  • 90–95% Year-1 survival rate with professional management protocol

About This Product

Agarwood Plant Seedlings — Complete Wholesale Guide

Aquilaria sinensis — the agarwood tree — is both a legally protected species and one of the most commercially valuable trees in the world. Our nursery in Dian Bai, Guangdong has been propagating Aquilaria sinensis seedlings for over a decade using seed stock selected from our highest-performing plantation trees. The result is a robust, well-adapted agarwood plant that establishes quickly in tropical and subtropical climates.

Agarwood seedlings are purchased by plantation investors, reforestation project developers, research institutions, government forestry departments, and serious hobbyists in agarwood-growing regions across Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. The long-term investment case for agarwood plantation is well documented: a mature inoculated tree can yield chips and oil worth many times the cost of establishment per tree.

Our Aquilaria sinensis plants are propagated under greenhouse conditions with consistent irrigation, controlled nutrition, and regular inspection. Each batch is health-checked before dispatch. We have exported agarwood seedlings to Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, and multiple Middle Eastern countries with full phytosanitary documentation.

We also carry Aquilaria malaccensis seedlings on request — the species most prized for its oil yield in the international agarwood trade. Aquilaria malaccensis is the source of much of the high-value oud produced in Southeast Asia and is listed on CITES Appendix II. Please contact us for availability and pricing if you require A. malaccensis plants for your plantation project.

For premium clients, we also propagate kynam tree (kynam agarwood) cultivars — high-resin Aquilaria seedlings grafted from Hainan and Vietnamese kynam mother stock. These kynam agarwood plants reach commercial inoculation maturity in 6-7 years and command 10x the price of standard plantation agarwood.

Tradition & Meaning

Why Agarwood Plant Seedlings carries more than scent

Every gram of oud on this site began as one of these seedlings. Planting an Aquilaria is a long-horizon act — ten years before first inoculation, decades before a true premium harvest — which is why plantation buyers approach it the way temple builders approach a foundation stone. Several of our customers run plantations as multi-generational family projects, and many treat the first planting as a ritual in itself. If you are sourcing seedlings, you are not buying inventory; you are starting a lineage.

Buyer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What species of agarwood plant do you supply?

Our primary nursery stock is Aquilaria sinensis, the species native to Guangdong and the most widely cultivated for Chinese domestic agarwood production. We can also supply Aquilaria malaccensis — the premier Southeast Asian oil-yield species — on advance order. Both are CITES Appendix II listed; export includes all required documentation.

How long does an agarwood tree take to produce resin?

Under natural conditions, a wild Aquilaria tree may take 20–50 years to produce significant resin. With artificial inoculation techniques (which we practise on our plantation), resin formation can begin in 3–5 years post-planting, with harvestable chips and oil possible from year 7–10.

Do you provide planting guidance with seedling orders?

Yes. We provide a basic planting guide with all seedling orders covering soil requirements, irrigation, spacing, and early inoculation preparation. For larger plantation projects, we can arrange a consultation with our plantation management team.

What is the minimum order for agarwood seedlings?

The minimum order is 10 plants. For plantation-scale orders (500+ plants) we offer bulk pricing and can coordinate phased delivery. Contact us for a formal quotation with volume pricing.

Can agarwood plants be shipped internationally?

Yes. We export Aquilaria seedlings with full phytosanitary certificates and CITES documentation. Import permits are typically required in the destination country — we can advise on the process based on your location. Air freight is standard for small orders; sea freight for large plantation orders.
